World Hindu Council of America (VHPA) mourns the lives lost in Connecticut

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington DC, December 15, 2012

The World Hindu Council of America (VHPA) expresses grief and anguish at the senseless murder of 20 children and six adults in the school shooting at Sandy Hook elementary at Newtown, Connecticut. In this tumultuous time when we are all asking questions and yearning for answers, we hope that we, as humanity, can all lend a helping hand, a comforting shoulder, and a gentle embrace, to those who need it most. We extend our condolence to the family members of the deceased, and hope that steps are taken, both at the social and legislative level to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. VHPA extents complete support to the local authorities in Newtown, in providing social and emotional counseling to the aggrieved.
