In recent weeks and months, we have received many inquiries regarding how to make contribution to the construction of Shri Ram Mandir site in Ayodhya. Maryada Purshottam Ram is an integral part of Hindu civilization, and the long-awaited reconstruction of Shri Ram Mandir is a hugely emotional issue for Hindu devotees everywhere. Therefore, it is not surprising to see such outpouring of interest from the Hindu community across the United States and around the globe.
However, collection of donations from abroad for Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Kshetra Trust requires Foreign Contribution Regulation (FCRA) approval, the application for which has been submitted, and response is expected soon.
As you may know, the project consists of not just the mandir itself to be built on 2.77 acres of land, but a large complex of other buildings around the mandir as well. This building complex will be built on 72 acres of land currently available plus additional 29 acres expected to be acquired soon. When the FCRA approval is obtained, your contributions can be used for these buildings, which are an integral part of the Mandir complex.
Therefore, we humbly request the Hindus diaspora to exercise patience until the regulatory approvals are obtained. As soon we have the requisite approvals, we will share all the necessary details about how and where to send your contributions.
In the meantime, we request that the Hindus outside Bharat motivate their friends and family in Bharat to make their contributions in Bharat. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad Bharat has already started a donation drive with millions of volunteers going village to village and collect donations for the temple, thus giving everyone equal opportunity to participate.
We will be holding discussion with Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Kshetra Trust and will come-up with a defined collection plan which can then be implemented as soon as we have the FCRA License approval.
