Bal-Vihaar Vedic Heritage Classes focus on nurturing the spiritual, cultural, and moral development of young minds through Hindu Vedic teachings. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive education that deepens understanding of Hindu traditions, values, and practices, while also supporting students in their academic and personal achievements. As young Hindus in the USA often have questions about our heritage, establishing a solid foundation in Vedic principles will boost their self-esteem and contribute to their overall success.
Through classroom instructions, activities, community events, and personal reflection, we strive to create a supportive environment where students build a strong faith foundation, develop cultural pride, and grow into compassionate, responsible individuals who positively impact society.
Children will learn not only values but also an appreciation for the ‘value of values,’ enabling them to understand, choose, and embrace these values rather than merely follow them. They will also be instructed in rituals and their significance, the principles of karma and dharma, prayers, Sanskrit slokas, and more. Teenagers will receive guidance on managing peer pressure, building self-confidence, and understanding their identity, all grounded in the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
