In Assam, over 70 people have died due to drowning or electrocution and the numbers are increasing. Karimganj and Lakhimpur are the worst affected districts. 25,269 people have taken support at 363 relief camps/ relief distribution centers.
In Manipur, for the past two months, floods and landslides have continued to cause devastation in the state. Imphal East district is the worst hit district with over 60,000 people affected.
People have lost their homes, as well as their agricultural produce, personal valuables and livestock, all of which they depended on for their livelihood.

Manipur
- Number of Households Affected: 14,252**
Villages Affected: 39 villages are severely damaged and under water**

GUJARAT:
Over 25,000 people have been evacuated to safe zones across the state after several districts of the state were inundated due to heavy rains according to NDTV. According to the report, more than 20 highways of the state has been submerged due to flooding. A high alert has been issued by the state government following the same. The report further said that around 70 people have been killed in the state because of rain related incidents. 17 trains have been cancelled from July 24-28 due to water logging on the tracks. Heavy rains to be continued till July 29th.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier announced Rs 500 crore for rescue operations in flood-ravaged Gujarat, after conducting an aerial survey of the disaster-hit zones with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel on Tuesday. Modi has also declared Rs 2 lakh compensation to the kin of the 83 deceased, and Rs 50,000 to those injured, claimed reports. During his aerial survey, Modi flew over Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Patan districts of North Gujarat. He has assured that an assessment-team from the union Urban Development and Rural Development Ministries would visit Gujarat to take stock of the damage, with an aim to offer short-term and long-term solutions.
