Ekal Vidyalaya - Enlightenment through Knowledge

Ekal Vidyalaya (One Teacher School) was launched by VHPA in 1999 with the objective of opening "One Teacher School" in every one of the 133,913 villages with vanvasi-poor population of over 100 million in remote parts of India. There are over 50,000 such schools functioning. The cost of sponsoring one such school is $365.00 per year. The project was later spun off as an independent entity under Ekal Foundation of USA. Today the Ekal Vidyalaya project is thriving due to the hard work and vision of its team. The VHPA Chapters and volunteers continue to support this project.

VHPA actively supports Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation, USA which provides basic education and health services to tribal (vanvasi) children in Bharat. Your Dollar a day prvoides education to 30 children for one year..
