World Hindu Council of America (VHPA) is an independently registered nonprofit 501 c(3) charitable organization in the USA and is inspired by the eternal values of Dharma, and the lofty ideal of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, meaning the entire creation is one family. Guided by Hindu ethos, VHPA respects religious diversity by its very nature and believes in equality, freedom and justice for all, and respect for the environment and Mother Earth.
VHPA strongly condemns the despicable act of injecting VHPA’s name into an alleged incident in Naperville, IL by IAMC.
Reacting to IAMC’s unnecessary and mindless propaganda against VHPA, Shyam Tiwari, VHPA spokesperson cited “IAMC’s continuous rhetorical diatribe against Hindu organizations and Hindus in general in the USA is very well known in public domain and is very consistent in their overall Hinduphobic approach. They seldom lose an opportunity to blame VHPA with their maliciously unfounded and wild allegations and speculative extrapolations in any and everything they see wrong,”
VHPA General Secretary Amitabh Mittal was more specific on the ramifications of such irresponsible statements, “These are false allegations dragging Hindus into this alleged incident and is creating fear and disharmony in the community. It shows IAMC and CAIR have no respect for harmony and peace for the Hindu community in the USA.
An issue which has already been resolved by the school District three months ago has been brought back again to put the life of a minor in danger and to blame the most peaceful minority Hindu community in the USA in danger.”
VHPA stands in solidarity with the Hindus and Hindu organizations in Chicago area to counter such hateful and Hinduphobic campaigns by these vested interests. VHPA urges everyone to maintain peace and harmony and not fall prey to preposterous hearsay and misinformation.
